Smart trawl tests onboard the Ar Ribler in the Bay of Quiberon (October 2021)
The objective of these trials is to prove that the concept of the intelligent pilotable plate gear trawl is working at sea and to observe its behavior.

One of the objectives of the project is to be able to no longer impact the seabed when there are no species of commercial interest in front of the trawl by switching the plate gear in flying mode.
When the algorithm detects and identifies the species of interest in front of the machine, it is then necessary to be able to pilot the plate gear in order to quickly tackle it from the bottom.
